There's been a fair amount of panic and alarm lately that Obama isn't responding forcefully enough to Republican attacks. I thought it would be interesting to compare and contrast the latest Obama TV ad with a John Kerry commercial from a comparable point in the 2004 campaign .

In a diary earlier today entitled Howard Dean on the Process Moving Forward, diarist lowkell quotes Howard Dean on NPR discussing the possibility of the Florida and Michigan delegates being seated:

Siegel: "What about seating delegates chosen in the [Michigan and Florida] primaries that took place, is that absolutely out?"

Dean: "Well it's ultimately up to the credentials committee. It's a clear violation of the rules of this campaign. And so I'd be very surprised if the rules committee of the DNC would do that.  What the credentials committee does is up to the credentials committee, we don't have any control over that..."
